Matteo Ricci, 16th century Jesuit priest, scientist and cartographer was from nearby Macerata but spent much of his life as a Chinese scholar and court mathematician in Beijing.

This secluded boutique apartment’s comfortable living room has a brick built fireplace and opens to the kitchen /diner through a brick arch.

A spiral staircase leads up from the dining area up to the bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

Ricci’s front door opens onto it’s private garden with ample space for dining and relaxation. This leads to a large grassed area with a large walnut and mature fig trees which provide refreshing shade.

See description for detailed information on all the apartments.

What one of our regulars say about apartment Ricci:

‘The double aspect allows views of the sun rise, and across the rear garden. The warmth of the day lingers late into the evening, so siting out to dine or just watching the stars before retiring ensures a cool bedroom’.
